I have been in the antique business for 30 plus years. After college, I went to work for Federal Express. I had been working there for nearly 8 years and spent my vacation time participating in shows. As a part-time antique dealer in 1988, I displayed items in antique malls in the Kansas City area and in local shows. But after my first trip to New England, I become passionate about Early American country antiques.
In 1994, I married my husband, Jere. That was the year that I participated in my first “big” show, Heart of Country in Nashville, TN. That opened the door to more shows around the country. In 1997, I quit my job to pursue my passion full-time. Two shows a year quickly turned into 17.
This business has had its ups and downs, but I still get excited every time I find that really special antique. Antiques are my passion, my happy place, but it isn’t just about the antiques; it is also the people I’ve met and the wonderful friends I’ve made over the past 30 plus years. That has been my biggest reward. It is my honor to exhibit at the 64th Annual New Hampshire Antiques Show. I look forward to seeing you there!
